Phoenix II USB Barcode Reader
The Phoenix II USB barcode readers imitate a standard USB Keyboard. There is a true plug and play system. Drivers are not required on Mac OS, Mac OSX, Windows 95, Windows 98, Millennium and XP. This device supports EAN8, EAN13, UPCA, UPCE and ISBN. This barcode reader is absolutely compatible with all applications that accept text input from the keyboard. Some examples of such applications are Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, File Maker Pro and several others. Triggered scanning, automatic trigger less or continuous scanning can be permitted by simple programming. The USB Barcode reader color is available in Carbon Black or Ivory White. There exists a comprehensive programming manual which facilitates easy setup of features by following simple barcode scanning. There is a built-in symbology identification to recognize the type of barcode by using a special customizable prefix.

To incorporate the Phoenix II into existing applications, configurable prefix and suffix up to 10 characters are used. There exists a customizable good read sound coupled with visual good read indication. There is a CCD Imaging Scanner. There are no moving parts and it is easy to clean. The maintenance required is minimal. There is no laser to cause any damage. There exists a durable ABS construction which can withstand a one meter drop on concrete. There is a bright LED scan line for aiming. The device can scan in most lighting conditions. The reader has a 2 meter ie. 7 feet long detachable cable. This is available in USB, PS2, ADB and RS232 connections. The Quick Track V Start Barcode Tracking Software is provided free. Along with the device an optional stand is made available. There is a 5 year RTB warranty. Features The maximum barcode width is 80 mm. The scanning depth is 0 to 44 mm. The scanning engine is Red CCD and LED array 630 nm. The successful Barcode scan indication is the Red LED. The full manual and set up sheet is included. The computer connection interface is Universal Serial Bus. It is also available as PS2, ADB and RS232. There is UPC EAN Price code Barcode Support. The Symbology Specific options include check digit stripping, checksum validation and caps lock.
